I have a new goal for the next gun show!

I didn’t grow up hunting, but have been interested for several years.  I recently completed my state Hunter Safety Course.  I actually learned a lot more than I thought I would given how long I’ve been shooting, and that I was an instructor for about 10 years.  However, my focus was always defensive.  Now…I’m looking at enjoying nature, and filling my freezer.  I’m not optimistic that the first year will be more than a learning experience but …should still be fun.   I have almost all the firearms I could need, but I’m looking to stock up on accessories, ammunition, Read More >>

Cowboy Shooting Part 2

Wow!  Another month and another cowboy shoot.  Last month we talked some about what cowboy shooting is, where you can find information about it and the types of handguns that can be used.  I told you that I’d talk about rifles this month and I’m going to throw in some on the shotgun.  I use a Rossi, Model 92.  And, I use the same caliber as my handguns a .44.   Using the same caliber allows for no mistakes with the ammo and firearm.  Trust me, that’s important.
